Iwana (char)

Iwana (Salvelinus, more commonly known as Char in English), are a type of trout that can easily be identified by the pink or cream spots over their darker-coloured body. They are particularly popular amongst fisherman; not only can they be caught easily enough, but they also make for a delicious meal afterwards. Similar in taste to salmon, they are most often eaten either grilled or fried, but can also be found on the menu at most sushi restaurants.
